fervor

Revenge drama · 2023

With Fervor, which I wrote and directed, I wanted revenge that hurts to watch. Fernanda has already survived more than most people do in a lifetime, and she kept the receipts.

The film picks up after the damage is done, out in the desert, as she closes in on her enemy. I wanted to watch her hunt: what she remembers, what she thinks she's owed, and the moment vengeance stops feeling clean and starts feeling like grief.
