DEMON SLAYER TIMES SQUARE TAKEOVER
For one hour in June 2023, Times Square showed nothing but Demon Slayer. Crunchyroll had exclusive rights to the Swordsmith Village Arc finale and wanted everyone to know it, so the finale got a full building takeover.
Characters filled every screen. Fans flooded the street to look up, some filming, some just there for the party, and the usual Times Square chaos stopped for it. It was great to see an anime get the treatment usually saved for Marvel movies.
I made the hero video with Crunchyroll's video team, telling the story of the takeover to fans.
